Make Shift Happen

Stop shrinking yourself to fit who you were beforemotherhood closed that door.

You’ve changed — you will never be the same once you add mother to your name.

The Shift →

The identity shift that nobody warned you about — and the method to actually move through it.

A gap opened somewhere between the woman you were pre-kids and the woman you became in the midst of motherhood.

Not a breakdown. Something quieter — a slow, disorienting distance from the person who used to feel unmistakably like you.

Becoming a mother asks you to be honest with yourself — about which of your needs can be met inside motherhood, and which ones can only be met through the continued development of self.

And that is what Self/Shift is all about. I help women rewrite their identities from the inside out.

The Book →

The identity shift that nobody warned you about — and the method to move through it.

Self/Shift is the story of losing yourself to motherhood — and building the self that comes next. Part memoir, part map: the whole journey from Selfless to Self-ish to Self/Shift. It’s taking shape now on Substack, one chapter at a time.

About Me →

Helping women rewrite their identities — from the inside out.

I'm a identity coach and self-shifter dedicated to the advancement of mothers. I meet women where they are and guide them toward where they ultimately want to go.

I push at the edges of societal expectations and challenge the narrative that motherhood is meant to be selfless work — because a woman who knows and understands herself mothers from strength, works from clarity, and builds from desire instead of depletion.

I built this work because I lived the gaps I now help women close: the slow, disorienting drift between the woman I'd worked so hard to become and the woman motherhood asked me to be.

I’m here to help you cut through the noise, the pressure, and the impossible standards that have kept you overworked, under-fulfilled, and feeling stuck. Because your career shouldn’t come at the cost of your life, your ambition isn’t a problem to fix, and you’re allowed to want success, ease, and a life that actually fits.

About Me →

Hi, I’m Tiffany.

I’m an identity coach for mothers, working at the intersection of work, motherhood, and identity.

No one told me that becoming a mom would be one of the biggest identity shifts of my life — so I built the map I wish I’d had.

Through my writing, my coaching, and my project Making Motherhood Work, I help women rewrite their identities — from the inside out.

The point isn’t to have it all; it’s to stop disappearing inside a life that no longer fits.

I write the Self-ish newsletter and live in Northern California with my family.

Overworked and overwhelmed, but still ambitious as hell?

After years of working with ambitious moms, I started to see the same patterns repeated over and over again. Smart, capable, driven women applying the same pre-kid strategies to their post-kids lives — and then wondering why nothing seemed to work.

The reason: motherhood changed who you are. There's a gap between the woman you were before and the woman you are now — a shift every mother goes through that no one actually names. I name it. Because once you can see it, you can finally close it.

Start where you are.

Name your gap with the free kit, take the quiz to see what’s steering you, and read the shift unfold on Substack.
